Explore the Course at The Refuge

The Refuge's inherent beauty lies in its setting.  Literally carved from 200 acres of wetlands, more than 500,000 cubic yards of dirt were moved to create lakes, creeks, and one of the best public courses in the region.  Generous tees, rolling hills, and welcoming fairways culminate at gently rolling greens featuring some of the smoothest and truest putting surfaces around.  With multiple tees and varying angles of attack, The Refuge is suitable for players of every skill level from old to young and beginner to professional.  From the back tees, the course is not some daunting monster of 7,000+ yards and from the forward tees, it's just right for seniors, ladies, junior, and beginners.

We've included a map of the course below to help you get a "lay of the land" and see our unique "9 out/9 in" routing.  Like many of the old courses in Scotland, the front nine ends at the halfway house far from the clubhouse; before you turn for home on the back nine, where the par-5 18th hole plays up to the clubhouse.

We've also included some handy playing tips below to guide you around the course the first time you play it.  We're sure you'll enjoy your time at The Refuge and we feel confident you'll be back time and time again.

A day at The Refuge is not just a day at a golf's an experience!
